Energy consumption of a passenger car with a hybrid powertrain in real traffic conditions

The analysis of energy consumption in a hybrid drive system passenger car real road conditions is an important factor determining its operational indicators. article presents equipped with advanced Plug-in Hybrid Drive System (PHEV), driving on test section about 51 km covered various environmental and seasons. Particular attention was paid to the resulting from cooperation two independent units, analyzed terms total expenditure. obtained fuel collected car’s batteries for each run over distance 12,500 summarized. instantaneous values per kilometer traveled operating range 0.6 1.4 MJ/km, lower relating vehicle operation only electric drive. upper applies internal combustion engine, which increases not expenditure TTW (Tank-to-Wheel) system, but also CO2 emissions environment. Based experimental data, curves were determined, showing close correlation actual conditions. Obtained compared homologation data WLTP tested car, where average value demand 1.1 MJ/km emission 23 g/km.
